ReviewOne of the most recent premium lines from Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Twin Cuisine was introduced in 2004 with a major revelation: it’s the original high-quality forged cutlery line to feature a molded handle with a visible, full-length tang that runs horizontally. In fact, the handle is utterly stunning, with the shiny tang curving more or less as it courses through the black nonslip polypropylene. With no rivets or gaps, the ergonomic handle provides seamless comfort, while the full tang adds weight for precision balance. The single-piece blade, forged from high-carbon, no-stain steel and given a healthy elasticity to in Henckels’s exclusive Friodur ice-hardening process, retains it is sharp edge through spacious cutting and chopping. Made in Germany and covered by a lifetime warranty, Twin Cuisine knives are dishwasher-safe but are best cared for when washed and dried by hand.

When sandwiches are called for, the Twin Cuisine 5-inch serrated utility knife does just with regards to everything. The serrated edge is specially adept at slicing through tomatoes and avocadoes, as well as crusty baguettes and hard salamis. Since the blade is rather wide and the tip not an acute point, the knife works well at propagating mayonnaise or mustard, and lifts up tomato or meat slices to place on bread. All in all a versatile size and a pleasure to use, the serrated utility makes an splendid knife for any seasoned or aspiring chef. –Ann Bieri

5Love this knife
By wonderbreadpowers
I like this knife so much that I’m buying more from the Twin Cuisine line. The handle is in truth comfortable, and the knife has a nice balanced weight to it. It cuts like a dream. Tomatoes are no match for this knife, which is where mine sees most of it is action.

I am so impressed with all of the Twin Cuisine knives – they have a outstanding weight and remainder to them making them safer and more effective for me to use. The handle is very natural to hold, and the entire knife is very well-made and solid… far superior to numerous other knives in the price range! I am so glad that I found this set of knives… they rock

1Dangerous, and the handles are broken
By Elaine G.
I’ve owned a set of these knives for almost 3 years. When I primary got them, I was very concerned because the handle design allows them to spun on the countertop, a very dangerous feature. I have little children in the house, and I have to be very careful where I put them to keep them out of reach. I have never dropped them, nor have I ever put them in the dishwasher, but all the handles are cracked, some in various places, even the little paring knives. That’s the last straw! While the ease and sharpness are very good, I am returning these under the terms of the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty for something else.
