OK I guess, but mine’s rusting
By Jim
I got these for the precise application that they are designed for, trimming my moustache. I just wanted a high quality pair of scissors to trim my moustache even with the upper edge of my lip. This pair does the job, sort of, but I wouldn’t call it a high quality product.
For one thing, the blades are too thick and a bit bulky for the fine-line trim I’m looking for. As a result, it’s a bit hard to position properly. I’ve even nicked my lip with the point while attempting to get the blades in position.
Also, they’ll on occasion grab the hair and not in truth cut it – ouch! – not at all something I would suppose of a quality pair of scissors.
Finally, after only a couple of months, mine are rusting. They aren’t sitting in water or anything like that – just in a drawer next to the sink. I would have expected that scissors this highpriced would have been made of stainless. Maybe they are but on closer inspection I don’t see that genuinely stated on the description here at Amazon. But even if it is stainless, poorly made stainless will rust if iron atoms have contaminated the surface of the stainless steel for the duration of the manufacturing routine – that may be what’s going on here.
They’re OK I guess, but I genuinely wish I had a better pair.
